Keeping a Place of Business Comfortable for Customers

Like many others, I absolutely adore shopping. Because I’m an extremely neat person, I especially like shopping at establishments that are sparkly clean. Are you an entrepreneur? Perhaps, your job of managing a business establishment leaves you little time to clean it. Consider hiring a professional cleaning service to complete this important task for you. A reputable cleaning company can visit your business when customers aren’t present. Cleaning technicians can sweep floors, wash windows, dust furniture, and clean bathrooms. On this blog, I hope you will discover the benefits of hiring a cleaning company to make your property look amazing. Enjoy!

How To Remove Stains From Your Carpeting

Accidents happen all the time, but when they happen on your brand new (or even old) carpeting, it can seem like the end of the world. Carpeting is like a magnet for things like soda spills, paint splatters and just the right spot for your pet to relieve itself. Those spills, splatters and "accident" areas can be cleaned up and removed from your carpeting to make it look like new again. See below for tips on how to remove these and other stains from your carpeting.

Soda Spills

Here's What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • White cloth
  • Vacuum

Instructions:

  1. Pour the white vinegar onto the stain.
  2. Then sprinkle the baking soda onto the spot.
  3. Watch the mixture bubble and work it's magic. Allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes. If need be, place a bowl over the area to keep pets and small children away.
  4. Blot the spot to remove as much of the mixture and stain from the area.
  5. Finally, vacuum up the spot. You should not be able to see the stain any longer.

Paint Splatters

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Scraper/butter knife
  • Clean cloth or rag
  • Dish detergent

Instructions:

  1. If the paint is still wet, blot at it with a damp cloth to remove as much of the paint as possible.
  2. If the paint is dry, add a bit of dish detergent to the paint to help soften it.
  3. Next, use a scraper or butter knife to scrape up as much of the paint as possible from your carpeting.

Pet Stains

Here's What You'll Need:

  • 1 cup hydrogen peroxide
  • 1/8 cup dish detergent
  • 1 tablespoon Oxiclean
  • 1/2 cup fabric softener
  • 1 gallon container
  • Water
  • Carpet cleaner

Instructions:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients into the gallon container using a funnel if needed. Then fill the container the rest of the way with water.
  2. Pour the mixture into your carpet cleaner in the cleaning solution reservoir and use your carpet cleaner as directed in your manufacturer's directions on the stain.
  3. The cleaning mixture will clean up the stains and leave your carpet smelling fresh and clean.

Carpet stains differ from one to the next, so it may take different cleaning techniques to clean up each stain. Be sure to wipe up spills immediately to prevent stains from happening. If you aren't sure what type of cleaning solution to use or aren't able to clean up the stains in your carpet, contact a professional carpet cleaning company to have your carpet cleaned. They can freshen your carpet and reduce allergens in your carpeting as well.
